Since 1997, Eyes of the World has produced world-class intraocular lenses (IOL) for the global market. An IOL is an artificial body part which is surgically implanted to restore vision after removal of the cloudy natural lens. This clouding of the natural lens is referred to as a cataract. A cataract left untreated causes blindness. Cataracts occur in both humans and animals as a process of natural aging.

Time tested products have earned Eyes of the World a reputation in the industry as a high quality manufacturer and service provider. Each lens is produced according to International Standards Organization (ISO) guidelines to ensure that the highest quality is maintained throughout the manufacturing process. The application of a Quality System has been validated and TUV ISO 9002 and ISO 13488 certification is maintained.

Eyes of the World is diversifying into the animal market. Animal Optic Resources (AOR) was established to provide ophthalmic devices to the veterinary market. The company has established relationships with veterinary ophthalmologists and local universities to assist with new technology research and development. As both a manufacturer and distributor Eyes of the World has the advantage to customize its products to meet the needs of the animal market.
