Local business leaders traveling this week in Indonesia signed an agreement with industry groups there, pledging to help spark mutual trade.
The World Trade Center of St. Louis said Friday that it signed a "memorandum of understanding" with AmCham Indonesia, a business group dedicated to U.S.-Indonesian trade ties, and KIKAS, a U.S.-focused committee of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce.
All three parties agreed to take steps to boost trade between Indonesia and St. Louis-based companies, especially around agriculture, high-tech manufacturing and construction and engineering.
The World Trade Center and former Sen. Christopher "Kit" Bond are leading a delegation including eight St. Louis-area companies and four local universities to visit four Indonesian cities.
